Yi Ma is the Leader of Artificial Intelligence for Wireless Communications Group within the 5GIC and 6GIC, University of Surrey.
He and his research group conduct the fundamental research of wireless communication systems covering signal processing, applied information theory and artificial intelligence. He has authored or co-authored 150+ peer-reviewed IEEE journals and conference papers in the areas of deep learning, cooperative communications, cognitive radios, interference utilization, cooperative localization, radio resource allocation, multiple-input multiple-output, estimation, synchronization, and modulation and detection techniques.
