Tiami Networks Granted FCC License to Test 5G Radar Sensing

Tiami Networks has announced the approval of its Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Experimental License, marking a significant milestone in the development of 5G Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) technologies. This authorization enables the company to explore radar sensing applications within the 7 GHz band, utilizing advanced 5G waveforms to facilitate real-time object tracking, classification, and asset monitoring.

Central to these efforts is Tiami Networks’ proprietary PolyEdge technology, which will be tested across both fixed and mobile sites. The focus will be on addressing urban and commercial use cases, including smart cities, homeland security, public safety, and low-altitude awareness.

This development underscores Tiami Networks’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI/ML integration with next-generation wireless technologies, aiming to deliver more intelligent and scalable sensing solutions for dynamic, real-world environments.
